Choosing a method
Which laser treatment is the most comfortable?
Comfort depends on the area, your sensitivity and the settings. Our Clinical Skin Laser uses a cold-air system advertised by Contour Paris at −30 °C to help reduce heat sensation. This does not mean treatment is painless.
Which laser treatment costs the least?
Compare the total course cost, not just one session. Women’s underarms are €40 and full bikini €100 per session; six-session packages are listed in our prices. The number of sessions varies.
Which hair removal method is the most effective?
Laser offers lasting reduction on suitable dark body hair. Electrolysis treats individual follicles regardless of hair pigment and aims at permanent removal of treated hairs. The best choice depends on the area, skin, hair and goals; neither method promises removal of all future hair.
Which hair removal method is the cheapest?
The lowest session price is not necessarily the lowest total cost. Waxing and sugaring give temporary removal; laser and electrolysis require a course. Our consultation helps compare the time and budget for your situation, using the published prices.
How can facial hair linked to PCOS be treated?
At Beauty Way we use electrolysis for facial hair, including hormone-related hair. It treats visible hairs individually; it does not treat PCOS or stop hormonal changes creating new hairs. Medical follow-up is important if the hormonal cause is not being managed.
Do you welcome transgender clients and people in transition?
Yes, with discretion and respect. Facial and beard hair can be treated by electrolysis; suitable body hair by laser in Nice or electrolysis in either salon. The plan takes your goals and any ongoing treatment into account.
Is laser more effective than electrolysis?
They serve different needs. Laser is suited to larger areas of suitable dark body hair. Electrolysis works hair by hair, including light, white and hormone-related facial hair. A combined course may be appropriate, without a guaranteed result.
Do you offer discreet full bikini sugaring?
Yes, in Nice and Cannes, with female practitioners in a private treatment room. We explain the treatment and adapt to your comfort and preferences; you may discuss sugaring or hot wax before the session.
Electrolysis & thermolysis
Does electrolysis hurt?
You may feel a brief sting or heat with the electrical pulse. Sensitivity differs by area and person; some clients compare it with tweezing. Tell your practitioner about discomfort so the settings and pace can be adapted.
How should an electrolysis session feel?
A fine, sterile, single-use probe follows the follicle’s natural opening. You mainly feel the electrical pulse. The hair should release without forceful pulling. Report sharp insertion pain or noticeable traction so the practitioner can reassess.
How long does an electrolysis course take?
The salon’s planning guide is about 2–3 months for the first full clearance, then often 1.5–2 years for a course, sometimes longer for hormone-related hair. Previous tweezing or waxing, density and growth cycles affect timing. These are estimates, not deadlines or guarantees; session duration is adjusted as regrowth changes.
Is electrical hair removal permanent?
Destroying a follicle aims to prevent that treated hair from regrowing. Thick or hormone-related hairs may require repeat treatment, and new hairs may appear because of hormonal changes. “Permanent” does not mean one session or no future hair anywhere in the area.
Which areas can electrolysis treat?
Face, upper lip, chin, cheeks, neck, eyebrows, areolas, abdominal line, fingers, toes, bikini area and hairs remaining after laser. The practitioner assesses the specific area before treatment.
Can electrolysis leave scars?
Scarring is a possible complication; no procedure can promise zero risk. Temporary redness and small crusts may occur. Do not pick them, follow aftercare and protect the area from the sun. Seek medical advice for worsening or unusual reactions.
When may I notice progress with electrolysis?
Around the first clearance, often over 2–3 months, you may notice less dense or slower regrowth. Progress varies. The practitioner tracks changes and adjusts session length; this is not a promise of results by a fixed date.
How should I care for my skin after electrolysis?
Avoid touching the area with unwashed hands. Use the recommended soothing care morning and evening for 2–3 days, according to your skin’s response. Protect exposed areas with SPF 50 and follow your individual instructions.
What should I avoid after electrolysis?
For 24–48 hours avoid sun and UV, sauna, steam rooms, pools, heavy sweating, exfoliation and fragranced or alcohol-based products on the area. Between sessions do not pluck, wax or use an epilator; trim instead so hairs can be treated.
Can I wear makeup after electrolysis?
Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup to the treated area, or longer if irritation remains. Preferably arrive without makeup on that area; it can be removed before treatment.
Which skin reactions can happen after electrolysis?
Redness, mild swelling and sometimes small crusts can occur. Do not pick the skin. Sun protection matters, particularly if your skin is prone to pigmentation. Contact the salon about concerns; increasing pain, spreading redness, pus or fever needs medical advice.
How should I prepare hair for electrolysis?
The hair must be visible and graspable: do not pluck it beforehand. Trimming is possible, but avoid cutting it flush with the skin just before treatment. The consultation gives you preparation instructions for your area.
Is electrolysis suitable for dark or Black skin?
Electrolysis does not rely on hair or skin pigment. It is the method Beauty Way offers for dark and Black skin, after an individual assessment. Skin reactions and pigmentation risks still need to be considered.
Are electrolysis and thermolysis the same thing?
“Electrolysis” is often used as an umbrella term for electrical hair removal. Beauty Way uses thermolysis: high-frequency current produces heat in the follicle. Repeat treatment may be needed, particularly with thick or hormone-related hair.
Is there a free electrolysis trial?
The initial consultation is free and required before treatment. The current appointment guide is 15 minutes in Nice and Cannes; treatment sessions start at 5 minutes and are paid. A free consultation is not a free electrolysis treatment.
Can I have electrolysis while pregnant?
Beauty Way postpones electrolysis until after pregnancy. Tell the practitioner if you are pregnant or may be pregnant.
What should I disclose before electrolysis?
Tell us about a pacemaker or defibrillator, pregnancy, infection, wounds or active herpes, current or recent oral retinoids, poorly controlled diabetes, healing or clotting disorders and anticoagulants. Assessment and, when needed, medical advice are required; treatment may be postponed. This list is not exhaustive.
Laser hair removal · Nice
Does laser hair removal hurt?
A brief hot or snapping sensation is possible, especially on underarms and bikini. Clinical Skin Laser uses cold air advertised by Contour Paris at −30 °C to help reduce heat sensation. Comfort varies and a painless session is not guaranteed.
How many laser sessions will I need?
The salon’s guide is often 6–10 sessions per area, sometimes up to 15. Hair colour and thickness, growth cycles, hormones, area and response affect the course. Sessions and any maintenance are adjusted to regrowth; no fixed result or session count is guaranteed.
How long is a laser appointment?
Allow around 15–20 minutes for underarms, including preparation, and around one hour for full legs. The time varies with the area, assessment and treatment plan.
Why may different areas need different appointment dates?
The salon’s indicative intervals are around 8 weeks for underarms and bikini, 10–12 weeks for legs, and up to 3 months for the back. These are planning guides, adjusted to regrowth and skin response. Areas can be combined when their timing is compatible.
Do you perform laser hair removal on the face?
No. Beauty Way does not offer facial laser treatment because of the risk of paradoxical hair growth, particularly with fine or hormone-related facial hair. We offer electrolysis for the face. This is our treatment policy, not a claim that facial laser is never performed elsewhere.
Why does one laser session not remove every hair?
Hairs are at different growth stages. Laser targets pigment in suitable growing hairs, so later regrowth needs additional sessions. A finer or lighter hair may respond differently. The course follows your actual regrowth.
Does laser work on blonde, white or red hair?
Beauty Way does not offer laser for light, white or red hair. Low or absent pigment makes it unsuitable for our protocol. Electrolysis can be considered instead.
Do you offer laser for dark or Black skin?
Not at Beauty Way: our current laser protocol does not include dark or Black skin. We offer electrolysis after assessment. This is specific to our salon; suitability elsewhere depends on the equipment and professional assessment.
What should I do after laser treatment?
Use the recommended soothing care. For 24–48 hours avoid sun, sauna, steam rooms and intense exercise; avoid deodorant or makeup on the treated area for at least 24 hours. Follow the specific sun-protection instructions for your skin.
Can I use numbing cream?
Do not apply it without prior advice. Ask a doctor or pharmacist and inform the practitioner before treatment: the product, amount and area matter. Cold-air cooling can help comfort, but does not make self-medication risk-free.
What about sun exposure?
Avoid tanning and self-tanner on the area before and after treatment. The necessary waiting period depends on your skin and recent exposure and is discussed before treatment. Use the advised sun protection.
Can I shave between laser sessions?
Yes. Shaving keeps the follicle available for treatment. Do not use wax, tweezers or an epilator on the treated area between sessions, because they pull the hair out.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser aims for a long-term reduction in hair growth. Maintenance sessions may be needed and results vary. Electrolysis treats individual follicles with the aim of permanent removal of treated hairs; neither method prevents every future hormonally stimulated hair.
Can I have laser while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Beauty Way postpones laser treatment until after pregnancy and breastfeeding. Tell the team about your situation before making an appointment.
What should I disclose before laser?
Disclose pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent tanning or self-tanner, photosensitising medicines or oral retinoids, epilepsy, wounds, infection or herpes, tattoos, suspicious moles or a skin-cancer history on the area. The questionnaire is checked at each session; treatment may be postponed or medical advice requested. This list is not exhaustive.
Sugaring & hot waxing
Why do you not use strip wax?
Beauty Way uses sugaring and stripless hot wax. The technique is chosen to remove hair cleanly while considering skin sensitivity. No technique can guarantee no irritation or broken hairs.
Why use sugar paste on legs, arms and back?
The salon calls these “cool areas”. Sugar paste, applied near body temperature, is often chosen here; hair is removed in the direction of growth. We adapt the technique to skin condition and tolerance instead of promising no irritation.
Why use hot wax for bikini, underarms and face?
These sensitive “warm areas” are often treated with elastic stripless hot wax, including Italwax. This is the salon’s usual choice for comfort and hair removal; sugaring remains possible if preferred after assessment.
Does waxing hurt?
The pulling sensation is brief but can be uncomfortable, especially on sensitive areas. We can discuss the choice of hot wax or sugar paste and adapt the technique to your tolerance. No pain-free result is promised.
Can I still choose sugaring for the bikini area?
Yes, subject to assessment and your preference. The salon usually favours hot wax for sensitive areas but can discuss sugar paste with you. Full bikini starts at €40 with hot wax and €50 with Alla for sugaring; full bikini with the buttock crease starts at €45 in hot wax.
What if I perspire easily?
Moist skin can make sugar paste harder to work with. Hot wax may be suggested instead, depending on the area and your skin. Tell the practitioner about your preferences and sensitivity.
How long should my hair be for waxing or sugaring?
Around 4–5 mm; after shaving this often means approximately 2–3 weeks of regrowth. Growth rate varies. Avoid removing hair at the root just before the appointment.
How long do waxing results last?
Often around 3–5 weeks, depending on hair growth and the area. Results and skin response vary; schedule the next session according to actual regrowth.
Do you offer men’s waxing?
Yes: back, chest, shoulders, arms, legs and bikini. Men’s full body is €290 and includes legs, full bikini, buttock crease, buttocks, back, shoulders, chest, abdomen and underarms. The full men’s price list is on this site.
When should waxing or sugaring be postponed?
Tell us about oral or topical retinoids on the area, damaged skin, sunburn or a recent peel, varicose veins, infection or skin disease on the area. Medical advice may be requested for diabetes. We assess the skin before treatment; this list is not exhaustive.
